X-RAY VISION

A few months ago I got these amazing x-ray prints of some animals at the local school supply shop. As our house of glass is running out of wall space I have yet to find the perfect space to hang them.

Dental Dream

At one time this was my dentist's office in Ohio. Now it's some lawyer's office. But, whenever I head home I admire it. There is another similar building in the valley but, I didn't have time to take a picture of it. Pretty sweet if you ask me. Please excuse the iphone picture quality.

CLEVELAND COOL

Thanks to my Cleveland crew for showing me fun times last night! We went to a beautiful Bocce Ball theme restaurant/bar called Stone Mad. It has an indoor bocce ball court that they groom! Also, the bathrooms in the basement had amazing tilework. Great stone patio and parking lots. And of course, amazing paint job by M.F. (mother fucker) Castellana. Check it out if you are ever in northeast Ohio!

Grooming in mad cool suit.

AKRON AWESOME

Back home visiting Mom for the week and thought I'd share some awesome-ness that Akron, Ohio has to offer. Above: Rotaynah, Tuscarora Indian word for 'chief', was sculpted by Peter Toth in 1985 out of a huge Red Oak. It weighs 17 tons and stands 36 feet tall in front of Akron's Fairlawn Elementary School
Below: Bronze statue of a Native American carrying his canoe. It's a monument to the original Portage Indian Trail which followed a section of the Cuyahoga Valley.

FOUR MORE YEARS

Dear California,
It's been four years now. I know we didn't get along so well in the beginning but I think we have gained a mutual respect for each other. You really tried to drive me away that first year. I could've packed up and headed back east yet, I was too determined to give up. I am honoring these past years together by hanging up your state flag. So, here's to you and your endless (almost annoying) sunshine.  Love, Krysta

OH ANDRE

Went and saw The September Issue this past weekend. Thought Grace was amazing and funny! A.L.T. makes me squeal with joy! And to think he was almost cut from the movie! The horror! We used to joke that if anyone questioned when you would be able wear an outfit Andre would say "Why, going down the stairs on Christmas morning!!!" Fabulous!
This one's for you Pedro.

LATCH HOOK

Remember the latch hook rug you had a the side of you bed growing up? That fuzzy warm feeling as the strings of yarn tickled your toes. Mine was a Strawberry Shortcake. Other friends had unicorns, Smurfs & Snoopy. I've got a latch hook rug I have been slaving over and it is still not done. I don't remember it taking so much time! Maybe I should have gone for a simpler pattern to start my trip down memory lane.

You can make your own latch hook pattern here: http://www.leftsource.com/

PUPPY POUF

Seems like everyone loves a pouf for their house including our dog, Ollie. Here are some great ones that would add a little fun to any house.

1. Ollie's favorite place to sit inside or outside: Ikea.com (we stack them in the patio for guest, use them as an ottoman, side table..love!)
2. Beautiful Knitted Urchin Poufs: by Christien Meindertsma (also available at DWR
3. Morrocan Version: Graham & Green
4. Kilim Square: Bhatik.co.uk
